My Beloved

My beloved is mine and I am his! (Song of Solomon 2:16, Amplified)

I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine… (Song of Solomon 6:3, KJV)

In Webster’s 1828 Dictionary the word my is defined as “belonging to me”. I belong to Him and He belongs to me.

…because ye belong to Christ… (Mark 9:41, KJV)

Belong is “usually best rendered… by the verb ‘to be'” (Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary).

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (Acts 17:28, KJV)

You were bought with a  price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. (1 Corinthians 6:20, Amplified)

He chose us to be His own.

Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world… (Ephesians 1:4, Amplified)

And He chose to be mine.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son… (John 3:16, KJV)

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20, KJV)

…He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened  Him, for] it is by grace… that you are saved… (Ephesians 2:5, KJV)

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16, KJV)

…Christ in you, the hope of glory… (Colossians 1:27, KJV)

He is mine and I am His. The King of the Universe is mine and I am His. I live in Him and He lives in me.
