No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends. (John 15:13, Amplified)
Today is the Fourth of July and here in America we are celebrating our Independence Day. We are celebrating all the freedoms we enjoy in this great nation, but they didn’t come free. Men of honor, men of valor, men of great love laid their lives down and spilled their blood so that we could be free. What did they love? They loved this nation, their families, and their God-given freedoms that lesser men try to take away at every turn.
Thank you to those who have sacrificed it all. And thank you to those men and women who are currently serving our nation. We appreciate you and are praying for you.
I also thank God for the One Who purchased our eternal freedom, Jesus Christ. He set us free from enemies that no other man could have. He knew only He could pay that price so Love didn’t hesitate. Love came. Love died. Love rose again for our freedom.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us… (1 John 3:169, KJV)
So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free. (John 8:36, Amplified)
Be free today. Happy 4th of July 🙂
Amen! God Bless us all…and America
Jaye
Love that! Amen!
